Invisalign in Kingston

Invisalign straightens your teeth using a series of custom-made clear aligners. Comfortable, clear and removable, without traditional fixed braces.

What is Invisalign?

Developed by Align Technology together with leading orthodontists in 1997, Invisalign straightens your teeth using a series of custom-made clear aligners.

It takes between 6 and 18 months to create a new smile using Invisalign. The aligners are worn for approximately two weeks, then you switch to a new set. They are removable so you can eat whatever you want and maintain good oral hygiene.

What to expect

  1. 01

    Consultation

You meet with an Invisalign Provider for a consultation. Based on your treatment plan and your dental records, a virtual 3D treatment plan is generated that shows the expected movement of your teeth.

  2. 02

    Custom aligners

Once you and your Invisalign Provider have approved the treatment plan, the aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth. The number of aligners varies for each person.

  3. 03

    20 to 22 hours a day

You wear your aligners for around 20 to 22 hours every day.

  4. 04

A new set every two weeks

Every two weeks, you switch to a new set of aligners. The aligners will gradually move your teeth towards their final prescribed position.

Will aligners affect my speech?

While it’s possible to experience a slight lisp when you first start wearing invisible braces, the vast majority of people find that any speech changes are minimal and temporary.

Common questions

Invisible braces, also known as clear aligners, are made from a clear, medical-grade plastic material. These aligners are custom-moulded to fit your teeth and are designed to gently shift your teeth into the correct position over time.
